Genetic Tools, LLC, a California-based company, aims ultra-high sensitive DNA/RNA detection of early cancer and infectious diseases.
Recently we developed a novel, revolutionary reverse transcriptase. This RTase is super-efficient with as little as one unit per 20 μL of reaction, over 200 times more efficient than MMLV RTase. Our thermostable RTase works best at 60-62ºC, overcoming high GC content and abundant secondary structure of RNA template. This enzyme also can easily detect single digits of RNA target molecules. It is particularly suitable to one-step real-time qualitative and quantitative RT-PCR.
Our second technology is Pyrophosphorolysis Activated Polymerization (PAP), a next generation of nucleic acid amplification. PAP uses a new principle and an exceptionally high specificity and sensitivity, over 1,000,000 times more than PCR. Our products include gene mutation detection kits of EGFR, KRAS, BRAF, and EML4-ALK, as well as of personalized cancer mutation detection from liquid biopsy. Their performances are unique or much-better than PCR/RT-PCR based products, over 10,000 times more sensitive and selective. Thus, the kits can be applied to early screening of cancer, early diagnosis of cancer, early monitoring of cancer relapse, and early discovering and monitoring of drug resistance.
Our third technology is Double-Layer Column, a new generation of nucleic acid extraction kit. The Double-Layer Column kit is specially designed to extract cf-DNA from 50mL plasma and urine samples with over 95% recovery rate, particularly suitable for early cancer detection where a minimal amount of cf-DNA lies in a large volume of liquid biopsy samples.
