Cat. PAP 124, PAP Taq-Probe Polymerase
Cat. PAP 124, PAP Taq-Probe Polymerase
Intended use
This thermostable DNA-dependent DNA polymerase is used for real-time-fluorescent pyrophosphorolysis activated polymerization (PAP) for sinleplex or multiplex TaqMan probes.
Characteristics
The PAP polymerase is specially engineered for TaqMan probes, generating S-Shaped curves.
The PAP polymerase has 5’-3’ DNA polymerase, pyrophosphorolysis and 5’-3’ exonuclease activities, but lacks 3’-5’ exonuclease activity.
Particularly, the PAP polymerase can efficiently catalyze pyrophosphorolysis to remove dideoxynucleotides or acyclonucleotides from the 3’ ends of annealed primers.
The PAP polymerase can detect a single copy of target DNA template.
It is particularly suitable to real-time qualitative and quantitative PAP and RT-PAP with sinleplex or multiplex TaqMan probes.
